Mike Carroll is the creator and designer of The Carroll Collection of American Eagle rings. He and his wife, Maribeth are the owners, operators and manufacturers of The Carroll Collection of American Eagle Rings in Prairie View, IL, a small town in the northern suburbs of Chicago, IL. "When I set out to design a ring worthy of a U.S. Marine, I knew it
had to be beyond comparison. It had to be instantly recognizable, affordable
to all ranks and of the highest quality. It is just that," says Carroll.
An unmistakable symbol, this ring was designed in recognition of the United
States Marine Corps. Brigadier General Commandant Jacob Zeilin approved the
current emblem on November 17, 1868. Two days later, it was signed and endorsed
by the Secretary of Navy. The emblem consists of a globe (showing the Western
Hemisphere) intersected by a foul anchor, and surmounted by a spread eagle.
The anchor’s origin dates back to the founding of the Marine Corps in
1775, indicates the amphibious nature of Marines’ duties. |
